MSI K7T Pro 2-A Review
MSI has done a great job in the design of this board. It is a solid performer, at an excellent price. It is the lowest priced KT133 board with such exemplary performance. The board retails for $149US but can be found at reputable online resellers for around $100US shipped. MSI continues to work out bugs with frequent BIOS updates. Visit MSI’s homepage for updates and more information. http://www.msi.com.tw MSI has a software package that is included with the board called Live BIOS. Although it is a great idea, allowing FSB, voltage, and BIOS flashing in Windows, it has been prone to errors, and is highly suggested that if you are upgrading (Flashing) your BIOS, that you do so from a DOS environment. Pros § Very stable performance § Low price compared to equivalent boards § Diagnostic LED system § Nice PCB layout § ATA 100 support § Almost completely jumperless § PC133 SDRAM support Cons § Possible multiplier problems § Memory performance about 5% lower than Asus A7V, Abit KT7 § Does not support 133 MHz FSB § Must remove AGP card to remove SDRAM MadnessPC Rating 85% This product is: Highly Recommended!!
