MadnessPC was originally named Merc100 and can still be accessed by either URL. It was started by myself, Dean “Merc” Malone in December 2000. I decided to change the name form Merc100.com to something more “tech” sounding .After brainstorming for a while, trying to find a name that was, easy to remember, catchy, tech sounding and resembling the website MadnessPC was born……If you are wondering if MadnessPC suits us? Trust me it do, we have been told we are a little Mad over here….)

Let me give you a brief rundown of the people in MadnessPC and what they do:

First off we have myself, Merc. I post news, update the site, review hardware, write articles and everything else you see my name on...:) I do work a day job full-time and run a small business. I spend approx 65-70 hours a week on the both of them and another 40 minimum a week on the site. So needless to say I don’t get much time for anything else, not even sleep... who needs sleep anyway... :)

We then have Quantum. Quantum is a Hardware Editor and Merc's slave...:) Quantum gets to play with a lot of goodies and trust me he loves it. He also gets to do some crazy stuff such as burning hardware, Drilling holes through harddrives etc.

Last but not least we have CyRex a.k.a. Nut Buster. CyRex is the behind the scenes guy. I don’t get much time to be playing games so he keeps me up to date with the latest games, news and everything else in the gaming world.
