You know looks are always important and something that I like about the A-Open 1240 is that it matches my PlexWriter 12/10/32A and also matches my AMK-3333 19" case perfect. 

Every CD, CDR, CDR-W & DVD I could put in there worked fine. I even put in a CDR that I mistaken for a coaster once and used it as a coaster. It loaded up fine on the A-Open 1240, not a problem.

I think that the A-Open 1240 is a remarkable deal for anyone looking into adding a DVD Rom to their system or upgrading their existing system. If you are in the market definitely look at this one before you jump the gun and purchase another.
