Cd-Roms are going to be packing it in soon. I buy a lot of DVD’s for my home theatre and with 90% of them they all have special features only accessible from your computer, not to mention its only a matter of time when all gaming is going to come on DVD’s and not compact disc anymore. There is no needed to worry about sacrificing speed because most DVD ROMs these days are 40x cd read which makes it suitable for most users.
What a beauty, the Plextor 12x cd write burner. After upgrading from a HP8100 I see a night and day difference. Do not get me wrong the HP8100 is a superior cd writer it’s just the Plextor is way ahead of the HP’s time. The 2 major differences are the “burn proof” technology and 12x Cd Write that comes with the Plextor. It makes burning a cd a piece of cake. Not only is it done 3 times faster the Hp’s 4x but its “burn proof” so you can sure the net, play games whatever you want without making those coasters.
My main reason for upgrading from the SoundBlaster live is because the X-Gamer 5.1 has Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, which I wanted for my DVD movies and also for games. Gamers will love the fact that the X_Gamer comes with a excellent game package including
